COSTUME/FASHION SHOW AT RAMADA INN AND CONFERENCE CENTER
Atlanta... Organized by Jarbas Pereira to showcase his costume collection for Mardi Gras 2002, "Distortion" will be held on January 26, 2002, at the Ramada Inn and Conference Center, Midtown Atlanta, located at 418 Armour Drive. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7:00 pm. At 8:00 p.m., meet the designer, in a relaxed buffet setup for the guests.
"Distortion" is an extraordinary performance of professional models featuring the most current fashion trends in costume and sportswear attire. Sponsored by Brazilian Journal and Digibraz, BrazilAtlanta, and Sedgefield Interior Landscapes, Inc., "Distortion" will showcase five different segments, taking you into a collection of dreamscapes, from fantasy and fable to serene to surreal, a fabulous journey into the new millennium of costuming.
Among the featured fashion segments are the traditional Las Vegas style, including the presence of that quintessential Las Vegas symbol...the Show Girls. With incredible costumes, "Show Girls" is an empire of delirium, punctuated by sequins, feathers and skin.
Another costuming highlight includes "Apocalypse," standing 13 feet tall by 13 feet wide and featuring almost 2100 vibrant colorful ostrich and peacock feathers. It is, without a doubt, a costume with a statement of extravagance.
