Brazil Atlanta Celebrates Five Years of Service on Nov. 17, 2003

On November 17th, 2003 BrazilAtlanta™ will turn five years old. Stay tuned for information on how we will celebrate this milestone of providing services to the great er Brazilian International Community of Atlanta.

Brazil Atlanta was founded on November 17, 1998 as a news group on Microsoft's (now discontinued Microsoft) "listbot" service. Brazil Atlanta was created upon a clear need to provide information to all who are interested on events and news of all kinds with relevance to Brazilians and their American and international friends with a clear focus on promotion of cultural activities and news, which at the time, was otherwise unavailable to the community.

Brazil Atlanta has strived to serve the Brazilian international and interested American community with significant consistency in the manner expressed in our mission. Yet as time has passed new interests, concerns, and needs have emerged.  Brazil Atlanta, as a leader in analyzing the emerging trends and interests, intends to shift our service focus since many of the initial needs are now effectively covered by other websites, newspapers, and otherwise the community at large. We congratulate all those who so serve the Brazilian community.

Brazil Atlanta leaders, starting from before its foundation in 1996 has witnessed the most significant growth of the Brazlian community of Atlanta.  Growing from a "one store no restaurant" community to one that now enjoys dozens of stores, restaurants, churches, salons, and other independent businesses who serve the Brazilian international community currently estimated at greater than 30,000.

Brazil Atlanta congratulates the Brazilian international community on its vitality and youthful dynamic nature as we hope to assist in its futher evolution by providing organizing assistance as well as continuing to serve its members ... as our mission states ... with "... excellence and integrity."
